Thank you for looking towards one of The Start Gallery‘s many fine images. The small sampling here is view of creations by Northwest photographer Jeff Miles. All images in this collection have been designed as a work of art. From start (capturing the image on film) to finish (giving the film image it’s digital fine art work over) these scenes have been transformed to reflect the fine look of oil, water color and pastel.
Installation:
The included full size image can be used as either a startup screen for the Macintosh or a background screen.
To use it as a startup screen you will need to have an image converter such as Graphic Converter which you can find on the same archive you found this image and sampling. Simply open “Graphic Converter” and select “convert more”. When the open box appears select the image to convert to a startup screen and pick ”StartupScreen” from the pull down menu. After hitting convert it will automatically be converted to a StartupScreen for your Mac. All you need to do now is place it in your system folder. Make sure that the only file name in contains is that of “StartupScreen” without the quotes and taking care to see that the two S’s stay capitalized.
To use it as a background screen you will need to acquire either ”Decor”, “DeskPicture”, or a similar desktop utility. The two named can also be found on the archive you found this image. Install the desktop utility per their instructions and then select the enclosed image as your desktop screen. Either utility will give you several choices on how you wish it to be displayed.
Cost:
Archived images from The Start Gallery are shareware. You may use them for two weeks free of charge, after that time a $15 US shareware fee is requested if you decide to keep your Start Gallery image. You can send payment to:
